A team of University of Denver law students has stepped up to the big leagues early, arguing in federal court against government limits on prisoners' free speech.

Students at DU's Sturm College of Law - who have worked on the case for a year - faced a government legal team in presenting their case before U.S. District Judge Marcia Kreiger last week. Now they await her verdict.

The students are targeting a U.S. Bureau of Prisons rule that bars federal inmates from acting as reporters and publishing articles.
